PTO Presents: Parents Who Are Aware

Champion High School PTO invites parents of high school students to attend this event. This even will address current trends within our community specifically relating to alcohol, drug use, and anxiety and how parents my address these issues.

"We care so we are aware."

The speakers will address the following topics:

Trends in drug use
What to look for
Common drug descriptions
Alcohol and binge drinking trends
Mental health awareness
Free depression screening at BISD
Stress/anxiety in students
Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month - focus on all relationships
MIC and MIP explanations

Presentation will be followed by a question and answer session.

Andrea Salazar, Youth Prevention Associate Director, San Antonio Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse
Office Rebecca Foley, Boerne Police Department
